Anthony Skaggs created Alphistia as a 9 year old boy in Newport Kentucky. Then, as now, he has always needed a refuge from the world around him. He worked as a librarian for several decades in New York City, and retired to Champaign Illinois in 2012. Through the years, he has visited 25 different countries, and armchair-traveled to at least 150 more. Heart and soul though, he remains always in Alphistia. This book explains why.
